Wood Recycling 

 

Out of the Woods Manufacturing has a new pellet plant right in Albuquerque’s South Valley.

 

Out of the Woods Manufacturing! is the only company in Albuquerque that recycles clean, dry wood waste to be converted into alternative energy.

 

Annually, Out of the Woods prevents approximately ten million pounds of beautiful wood waste from being needlessly landfilled.  Instead, this material is primarily used in the manufacture of high-quality home heating wood pellets.

 

Cost:  Out of the Woods charges a small fee for processing clean wood waste.  However, it is usually half the cost of any local landfills.  Each charge is dependent upon what you bring in to be recycled but usually works out to about .14 per cubic foot or less than 4.00 per yard.

 

Wood that is not accepted:  Out of the Woods Manufacturing is able to accept most clean wood waste.  However, there are a few wood items we are unable to process.  These include wood that is heavily painted or varnished, wood that is extremely dirty or dirt saturated, wood that has been exposed to chemicals or glues of any kind.

 

Please remember, if you are unsure about the wood you want to recycle, just call.  Usually, a short conversation and a cell phone photo are all we need to make sure we can help you save landfill space.

What we can accept: Clean, dry wood. This can usually include truss manufacturing cut-offs, 2x4,2x6, etc. etc., woodblocks, sawdust, shavings, small amounts of plywood, and or particleboard. We can even accept wood with some nails or screws in it.

 

What we cannot accept: Wood treated with any chemicals, used in forming concrete, covered in dirt, very old wood (usually has heavy dirt content)wet wood, or tree trimmings. (We CAN accept CLEAN Christmas trees)

 

Our clean wood grinding service is not free but it is cheap! Generally, our prices are roughly one-half the cost of our local landfills.
